Sanchez Tallies in UConn's 3-1 Setback at Boston College
Despite the first career goal from redshirt-sophomore midfield Alex Sanchez, the UConn men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Boston College on Tuesday night at Newton Campus Field.

UConn (10-4-0, 3-1-0 The American) saw its seven-match winning streak snapped on Saturday night at Morrone Stadium in a 1-0 setback to USF. The Huskies outshot the Bulls, 8-to-3, but were unable to find the back of the net in the 90-minute match.

The Huskies own a 31-9-3 all-time mark against the Eagles in a series dating back to 1974. The two programs last met on the pitch in September of 2015.

Boston College enters Tuesday’s tilt with an overall record of 6-4-2 and a 2-2-2 mark in ACC play. The Eagles have split four away matches and are coming off a double-overtime 0-0 draw with Clemson on Friday night.

Following the match, members of the Huskies will participate in an autograph session, sponsored by ProHealth.

Through 14 matches, UConn leads The American and ranks eighth nationally with a 0.57 goals against average and also checks in at No. 21 with a 0.50 shutout percentage.
