FRISCO, Texas - The No. 11 University of Connecticut men's soccer team was well-represented in the inaugural American Athletic Conference yearly awards, as junior Adria Beso was named Midfielder of the Year, junior Andre Blake was named Goalkeeper of the Year and freshman Cyle Larin was named Rookie of the Year, as announced by the conference on Thursday.  UConn had four American Athletic Conference First-Team selections and seven overall honorees.

Beso, Blake and Larin were joined on the All-Conference First-Team by junior center back Sergio Campbell. Seniors Mamadou Diouf and George Fochive earned Second-Team honors, while Kwame Awuah and Larin were placed on the All-Rookie Team.

Beso, a Lleida, Spain native, leads the Husky offense with eight assists, having started in all 17 games. His eight assists rank him third in the conference and his four helpers in conference play is the top mark in The American. Last season, Beso was named to the All-BIG EAST Rookie Team.

Blake took home his third consecutive conference Goalkeeper of the Year award after being named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year in both 2011 and 2012. Blake has started 15 games for the Huskies, allowing just nine goals and boasting a 0.56 goals against average. His eight shutouts rank him second in the conference. Blake has been climbing up UConn's all-time goalkeeper wins list, earning eight victories in 2013, which ties him with Bryheem Hancock (98-01) for fourth-most in Connecticut history.  The May Pen, Jamaica native sits in third place in UConn history with 38 career shutouts, trailing fellow Husky Josh Ford's (07-10) NCAA record of 50.

Larin was tabbed the Rookie of the Year after tallying a team-high 22 points on 10 goals through the team's first 17 matches.  He is the only Husky to record double-digit scores and is tied for first in the conference in total goals. The freshman has scored in six of UConn's last seven matches, including two in the conference Quarterfinal match against SMU. The Brampton, Ontario native was named the Rookie of the Week four times this season, including the final three weeks of the regular season.

Campbell was named to the All-Conference First Team after pacing the Huskies to 10 shutouts in the team's first 17 matches. The Husky defense has allowed just nine total goals and boasts the third highest goals against average in the nation, at 0.50. The 6-3 junior has taken 14 shots throughout the season, putting two on goal.

Fochive was named to the Second-Team after recording his first two Division I goals in 2013, including a late score against SMU last weekend. The holding midfielder is one of just five Connecticut players to have started every match and holds a .273 shot-on-goal percentage.

Diouf, a 2012 All-BIG EAST First-Team selection, played in eight games for UConn, assisting on two goals and putting seven shots on goal. The senior ranks 16th all-time in Connecticut history with 75 career points.

The final UConn honoree was Awuah, who has started in 16 games for 17th-year head coach Ray Reid. The left back played an important part in UConn's offense, tallying two assists and taking five shots throughout the year.
