STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's soccer team has been ranked No. 13 in the final NSCAA/HendrickCars.com poll as released on Tuesday, Dec. 14.
UConn, a team in which finished the season with a 12-2-6 overall record, battled to its 31st all-time NCAA Tournament appearance and its 13th consecutive. The Huskies spent every week ranked in the top-25 of the NSCAA poll this season, finishing the regular season ranked ninth in the country.
The Huskies' moved as high as No. 2 on Oct. 5 after opening the year unbeaten at 7-0-2. In Division I men's soccer, UConn was ranked No. 1 in goals against average (0.28) and save percentage (.914) at the conclusion of the regular season.
Akron, the 2010 Division I men's soccer National Champion, came in at the No. 1 spot, respectively, while Louisville finished ranked No. 2 after falling to the Zips 1-0 in the College Cup Final.
