Freshman Michael Lennon was a double-winner for the Huskies.

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Freshman Michael Lennon (Williston Park, N.Y.), sophomore Lachezar Shumkov (Sofia, Bugaria) and senior Kyungsoo Yoon (Toronto, Ont.) each won two events but the University of Connecticut men's swimming and diving team fell to Army on Friday night by a 167.5-132.5 score. UConn is 2-1 on the season.

Lennon won the 500-yard freestyle in 4:38.37 and the 1000-yard freestyle in 9:29.93. Shumkov won the 100-yard breaststroke in 58:08 second and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:06.91. Yoon won the 50-yard freestyle in 20.78 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle in 49.71 seconds.

Junior Keith Piper (Naperville, Ill.) won the 100-yard backstroke in 52.29 seconds while sophomore Sawyer Franz (Pine, Colo.) won the 200-yard backstroke in 1:51.56.

UConn returns to action next Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3, at the BIG EAST Quad meet in New Brunswick, N.J.
