BLACKSBURG, Va. - Senior Kyungsoo Yoon (Toronto, Ont.) finished in second place in the 50-yard freestyle in 20.53 seconds to highlight the opening day for the University of Connecticut men’s swimming and diving team at the at the H2Okie Fall Invitational.

The Huskies are currently in third place in the event with 162 points while Virginia Tech leads with 449.5, South Carolina is second with 324.5 and William & Mary has 119. The event runs through Saturday.

The UConn 200-yard freestyle relay finished third in a time of 1:23.56.

Sophomore Sawyer Franz (Pine, Colo.) was fifth in B Final of the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:37.00 while freshman

Diguan Pigot (Miami, Fla.) was fifth in the B Final of the 200-yard IM in a time of 1:53.55.

Freshman John Brice (Bala Cynwood, Pa.) was seventh in the three-meter diving with 295.85 points.
