STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's swimming and diving team announced Thursday that rising seniors James Donlevy (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and Kevin Konarski (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) will serve as captains for the 2016-17 season.
Both All-Conference selections as juniors, Donlevy and Konarski each swam a leg of the 400-freestyle relay on the final day of conference championship to help earn a fourth-place finish with a time of 2:59.84.
Donlevy, UConn's top sprinter, took home a bronze medal in the 50-freestyle on day two of the conference championship and finished third again in the 100-freestyle on the final day.
Donlevy and Konarski will captain a Husky squad that placed fourth in the American Athletic Conference Championship with 645 points over four days.
