ROME, Italy - University of Connecticut swimmer Jonathan Wong competed on day two of the FINA Swimming World Championships recording a season best time of 1:58.27 in the 200-meter freestyle. Though the time was his best of the year, it wasn't enough to qualify him for the Semifinals ending his run.
Wong has been working to improve his 100 M splits, and he achieved this by turning 57.06 at the first 100 M and managed to maintain his speed for the second 100 M completing the event in 1:58.27.
Wong finished 98th out of 141 entries.
