    STORRS, Conn. (Oct. 22) - The University of Connecticut swimming and diving teams both defeated Fordham Friday night in Storrs, Conn. The men were victorious in nine events, winning by a score of 165-132. The women defeated Fordham 170-119, winning 10 events.

    Bobby Folan was one of the top performers for UConn, winning the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:55.30, almost four seconds faster than teammate Mike McNulty who took second. Folan also helped the Huskies win the 200 yard medley relay, along with Nick Acquavito, Abed Kaaki and Connor Murphy. In the 100 yard back, Folan came in a close second with a time of 53.33, 19 tenths of a second behind winner John Kennedy of Fordham.

    Cassie Novak of UConn won two events in the women's competition, taking the top spot in the 200 yard freestroke and 200 yard backstroke. Novak won the 200 back with a time of 2:04.64, and took the 200 free with a time of 1:55.26.
