Men's Tennis Defeats Bryant 5-2

PUERTO RICO - The UConn men's tennis team swept the doubles matches and won 4-of-6 in singles to down Bryant 5-2 on Tuesday in Puerto Rico.

Andrew Marcus and Scott Warden won their No. 1 doubles' match, while Marcus won No. 1 singles and Warden took care of business in No. 2 singles. The two defeated Bryant's Hart Callahan and Nolan Gelman 8-3 before Marcus defeated Juan-Martin Paredes 6-2, 4-6, 10-8 in No. 1 singles. In No. 2 singles, Warden defeated Cristian Ballestrieri 6-4, 1-6, 10-8.

In other doubles' matches, Jai Yoon and Dave Adams edged Cristian Ballestrieri and Juan-Martin Paredes 9-8 (3) in No. 2 doubles, while in No. 3 doubles, Wei Lin and Ricardo Cardona defeated Connor Crowley and Nicholai Hill 9-7.

In singles' matches, Yoon defeated Callahan 7-5, 7-6 (6) in No. 3 singles, while in No. 6 singles, Lin ran away with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Vidith Huot.

Bryant's Dana Parziale won 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 over Adams, while his teammate Nolan Gelman defeated UConn freshman Ryan Carr 7-5, 6-3.
