GREENVILLE, N.C. - The UConn men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches on the road this weekend, falling to Richmond, 6-1, and losing an American Athletic Conference match with East Carolina, 7-0. The Huskies fell to 2-16 and 0-2 in the AAC.
In Friday's loss to Richmond, the Huskies got their lone point in singles play as sophomore Parker Goldstein (Marietta, Ga.) earned a 6-4 and 6-4 win over Caleb Troy in the #4 spot.
On Saturday, UConn was blanked but did notch a win in doubles play. The #1 doubles team of senior Jacob Spreyer (Denver, Colo.) and sophomore Christopher Toner (South Hamilton, Mass.) posted a 6-4 win over the tandem of Tendai Tapfuma and Patriek Wolterbeek.
The Huskies will play one more dual match in their final lead up to The American men's tennis championship in two weeks. UConn will host Boston University next Sunday, April 12th.
