STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's tennis team competed in the first match of the 2012 fall campaign at the Fairfield Doubles Festival on Saturday at Fairfield University. Connecticut swept the Flight 2 doubles.

In Flight 1, Jacob Spreyer and Zac McEntee Won their first two matches, 8-5, 8-5. The duo later fell to Cameron Amyot and Ian Tesmond of Fairfield, 8-4.

Flight 1 also saw Wei Lin and Mark Hosang go 2-1 as well, winning 8-6 and 8-4 in their opening matches before falling 8-6 to eventual champions Dennis Zlobinsky and Ofir Solomon of Fairfield.

Connecticut swept Flight 2 with Ryan Carr and Wayne Harrell combining to go 3-0 along with Teddy Margules and Parker Cohen finishing with the same undefeated record.

Josh Palmer and Andrew Ginzberg combined in Flight 3 to defeat Justin Ziccardi and Reece Breault of Fairfield in come-from-behind fashion, 2-6, 7-6 (5), 10-1.

UConn competes next at the Brown Invitational in Providence, R.I. from September 14-16.
