STORRS, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis team upped its match record to 3-0 Tuesday with a 7-0 sweep of Siena College at the UConn tennis courts.

UConn junior Wayne Harrell (East Windsor, Conn.), freshman Chris Toner (South Hamilton, Mass.), senior Ryan Carr (Madison, Conn.), and sophomore Zac McEntee (Yorba Linda, Calif.) each recorded a victory in singles and doubles play.

Other singles wins by UConn came from sophomore Andrew Ginzberg (Woodbridge, Conn.) and freshman Parker Goldstein (Marietta, Ga.), while sophomore James Cohen (Plano, Texas) and junior Joshua Palmer (Dalton, Pa.) were part of doubles triumphs.

"We did well to compete and find our way to the victory," said UConn coach Michael Louis. "The team has been working hard in practice and it's starting to reflect in how we are competing. The players should take a lot of confidence from this match going into this weekend's tournament."

The Huskies continue their season this weekend as the seven-team UConn Invitational tournament takes place on Friday-Sunday at the UConn tennis courts. Besides the Huskies, teams from Boston University, Bryant University, the University of Hartford, Merrimack College, Sacred Heart University, and Quinnipiac University will compete.
