STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's tennis program competed at the Quinnipiac Invitational this past weekend and saw freshman Mark HoSang win four straight matches to take "D" singles. The Connecticut duo of Teddy Margules and Andrew Ginzberg lost in the final of "B" doubles.
HoSang cruised into the semifinals with victories of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-4. In the semifinals, HoSang downed Sacred Heart's Matt Dean, 6-3, 5-7, 10-5. HoSang won the finals convincingly over Braynt's Guilliamue Sabourin, 10-3.
Margules and Ginzberg won their opener, 8-5 over Sacred heart. The duo then took down Hofstra, 8-7, and Brant, 8-6, leading to the final against another pairing from Sacred Heart. UConn's tandem fell by a score of 8-5 in the championship.
