NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The UConn men's tennis team wrapped up their fall schedule on Friday competing at the ITA Northeast Regional Championship at Yale University.
R-Senior Jacob Spreyer (Denver, Colo.) and junior Christopher Toner (South Hamilton, Mass.) competed at the tournament for the Huskies. Spreyer lost in his opening match in main draw, falling to Stony Brook's Raphael Termat, 6-2, 6-2.
Toner, who won two qualifying matches on Thursday to advance to the main draw, dropped his opening match on Friday to Blaine Willenborg of Penn. Toner won the first set 6-4 but fell 6-0 and 6-2 in sets two and three.
The duo of Spreyer and Toner also competed in the doubles main draw but lost their opening match to Princeton's pair of Tom Colauti and Diego Vives, 8-3.
