STORRS, Conn. - The Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes would like to celebrate Ryan Carr for National Student Athlete Day. Ryan is a junior tennis student-athlete who will luckily be at the University of Connecticut for another year. A native of Madison, CT, Ryan is a Finance major and is pursuing a minor in History.
Ryan has been a hard-working and dedicated student-athlete since his arrival here. His work ethic and accomplishments are something his teammates look up to.
Academically, Ryan is a stellar student having been named to the Dean's List in three semesters, is a three time member of the Big East Academic All-Star Team, and five time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Athletically, Ryan has helped lead his team to the Big East Tournament this year as the #2 singles player and one half of the #1 doubles team.
On a team consisting mainly of freshman and sophomores, Ryan, as the lone upperclassmen, has taken on a leadership role on and off the court being named captain in 2012. He has led his team throughout the year and will be looked to step into that role again next year. Congratulations to Ryan and we look forward to having him back for another year!
