STORRS, Conn. -
University of Connecticut men’s tennis coach Michael Louis, who has directed the Huskies for the past four seasons, has announced his resignation from the position.
“I am thankful for the time I have had at UConn and it has been a privilege to lead the Husky program,” said Louis. “I will always bleed blue.”
Louis was an assistant coach for the Huskies from 2004-10 and was a four-year letter winner at UConn, earning his undergraduate degree in kinesiology in 2005 and his graduate degree in 2007 in sport management.
He served as the head coach at Hartford from 2011-13. Louis played four years at UConn, served as team captain as a senior and was named to the Big East Conference All-Academic Team for three straight seasons.
