STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's tennis team schedule was announced on Wednesday by head coach Glenn Marshall. Set to participate in six tournaments, in addition to hosting their own UConn Invitational, the Huskies start the fall season in mid-September.
On Sept. 12, men's tennis opens the year at the Fairfield Doubles Invitational alongside the women's tennis team. The Huskies compete against Hartford and Siena on consecutive days, traveling to their nearby intra-state rival on Sept. 15 before hosting the Saints on Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m.
UConn breaks from match competition Sept 18-20, participating in the Brown Invitational in Providence, R.I. The Huskies remain in Providence for a 3 p.m. match at Bryant on Sept. 23.
The following weekend the Huskies host their own tournament with the UConn Invitational taking place at the University of Connecticut Tennis Courts Sept. 25-27.
October has men's tennis competing in back-to-back invitationals at Bucknell (Oct. 2-4) and Quinnipiac (Oct. 9-11). The ITA Regionals are hosted by Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. this year and are schedule to begin Oct. 15.
The Huskies round out the fall with a home match against Sacred Heart on Oct. 21 before traveling to Yale for the Connecticut State Championships Oct. 20-Nov. 1.
