2018 Spring Schedule

STORRS, Conn.
– The UConn men’s tennis program revealed their 2018 spring schedule that will feature a host of regional match-ups as well as pair of American Athletic Conference dual matches.

"The upcoming season will be present some amazing opportunities for our guys to compete against some great programs," commented associate head coach Reinaldo Valor. "If we can continue to elevate the intensity in practice and in the dual matches, the results will follow. I believe that our guys will put themselves in position to win some big matches this year."

UConn’s spring slate gets underway on the weekend of January 26th and 27th with stops at Delaware and Villanova. The Huskies will host the first of three matches this spring on February 3rd when Siena comes to the East Hartford Tennis Club. The Huskies have a match with Merrimack also scheduled for the indoor facility, tentatively set for February 25th.

The Huskies will face a pair of defending conference champions and NCAA Tournament participants from last season when they head to Army West Point (Feb. 9) and Buffalo (Feb. 10).

UConn will make their annual spring break trip to Bradenton, Florida this season and have three matches scheduled at the IMG Academy. The Huskies face Drexel (Mar. 11), Colgate (Mar. 13) and state rival Quinnipiac (Mar. 14).


 

 

The Huskies will hit the road for matches with regional foes Fordham (Feb. 24), Fairfield, (Mar. 2), Hofstra (Mar. 3), Brown (Mar. 18), Marist (Mar. 25) and Bryant (Apr. 6) while hosting Boston University (Apr. 8) on the outdoor courts on campus.

The first of two AAC matches takes the Huskies to Temple on March 31st then closing out the regulars season with a weekend in Greenville, N.C. where they face ECU and then Richmond on April 14th and 15th.

The 2018 AAC Championship is scheduled for four days on April 19-22 and will be held this season at the SMU Tennis Complex in Dallas Texas.
