ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Connecticut men’s track and field team opened its 2014 outdoor season at the Walt Disney World Track & Field Open this past weekend in Orlando, Fla. Senior Jesse Chapman competed in his first meet of the year, finishing with a marker of 4.30m in the same event.
Senior Eric Masington supplied another of UConn’s top finishes in the discus throw. Masington registered a hurl of 54.40m to take home the gold while also posting a second place finish in the shot put with a 16.30m heave.
