STORRS, Conn. - On Saturday, March 29 the University of Connecticut Men's Track and Field team will be competing in their home invitational against the University of Rhode Island. The first event of the day for the field events will be javelin beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the first event for Track will be the 10,000m at 12 p.m.

The Huskies got off on the right foot last weekend at the Walt Disney World Track & Field open as they placed fifth out of 15 with a limited group of field competitors. Senior Eric Masington won the discus and finished second in shot put. Tobey Belton shined on high jump as well as Craig Hunter having a successful day on pole vault. Finally, Oluwatosin Edwards placed second in hammer throw and Brian Eilers had a great day on javelin which led him to round off the podium for that event.
