UConn Men Take Second At Fairfield Invitational

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team took part in their first race of the season at the Fairfield Invitational, Saturday. In some overcast and breezy conditions the Huskies finished in second place right behind the host team, Fairfield.

All of the Huskies finished in the top-25 with their highest runner finishing in 21st place. There were 55 runners taking part in the race.

The Huskies notched only 42 points on the day with thanks in part to a second and fourth place finish by junior Scott Johnson and sophomore Nick Aguila respectively. Coming in third among the Huskies and eighth overall is freshman Myles Udland.

Rounding out the top-25 are rookies Jordan Magath who finished 11th, Maanek Kumar who took 19th place, and Ryan King finishing in 21st.

The Huskies are back in action next weekend on Saturday, September 19 when they take part in the UMass Invitational in Amherst.
