NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Juniors Jordan Magath (Hillsborough, N.J.) and sophomore Ryan McGuire (Orange, Conn.) led the Huskies in their third place finish on Saturday afternoon at the Ted Owens Invitational. Magath and McGuire concluded the meet with a time of 26:39 taking the overall 7th and 8th seats, respectively.

UConn tallied 102 points in its third place finish with Northeastern claiming first place with 33 points and Aic taking second with 99 points. The hosting CCSU followed Connecticut with 126 points in a fourth place conclusion.

Following the juniors were freshman Mike Duprey (Bristol, Conn.) in 24th at 27:42 and freshman Stephen Vento (Weston, Conn.) in 28th 27:49.

Junior Joe Clark (West Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore Christain Kearns (Ridgefield, Conn.) rounded off the Huskies with 35th (28:04) and 40th (28:13) finishes, respectively.

The Huskies continue the 2011 campaign on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the New England Championships in Boston, Mass.
