Huskies Take Sixth At CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team finished sixth at the CCSU Mini Meet on Saturday. Freshman Ryan King was the top Husky finisher taking 15th place overall in a time of 15:34.27.

Jordan Magath crossed the line second for the Huskies in 19th place finishing in 15:43.08 while Dan Bubniak finished third among UConn runners and 23rd overall in 15:44.92.

Calvin Carrasco took 53rd place crossing the line in 16:32.29 while Maanek Kumar rounded out the pack finishing in 70th place in a time of 17:41.77.

The Huskies will return to action next weekend at the BIG EAST Championship which will be hosted at Marquette in Kenosha, Wisc. The men will begin their race at 11 a.m. central time, 12 p.m. eastern.
