Men's Cross Country Finishes Ninth at IC4A Championships

Jordan Magath was the second Husky to cross the finish line.

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The UConn men's cross country team took home ninth on Saturday afternoon at the 2012 IC4A Championships at Van Cortland Park with 255 points. Georgetown captured the IC4A title with 45 points.

In the final race of the season junior Ryan McGuire tallied another top-Husky finish posting a time of 25:41.3 for 17th place.

Following McGuire was senior Jordan Magath who concluded the race 40th with a time of 26:10.7, while senior Joe Clark took 67th in 26:41.5.

Next to cross the finish line for Connecticut was freshman Ned Wilson claiming the 78th seat in a time of 26:53.3, while the Bennatan brothers finished the race with Alex taking 88th (26:59.5) and Tim finishing 90th (27:03.3).

Rounding out the running Huskies were sophomores James Agati and Stephen Vento in 97th (27:14.9) and 111th (27:47.4), respectively.
