STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team will continue the 2010 season this weekend, participating in the UMass Invitational on Saturday, September 18. The men's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. on the UMass campus.
The Huskies will be racing against Vermont, Maine, Amherst and host UMass.
Saturday's race will mark the fourth consecutive season the Huskies have ran at the UMass Invitational, with third place finishes coming during 2009 and 2007 and a fifth place finish during the 2008 season.
UConn is coming off a second place finish at the Fairfield Invitational (Sept. 11) where they were led by sophomore Nick Aguila (West Hartford, Conn.) who posted a second place overall finish with a time of 26:18.
Last week's second place finish is tied for the highest finish to open a season since 2005.
Aguila's second place finish marks the second consecutive season that a Husky has finished runner-up at the Fairfield Invite.
