Men's Cross Country To Take Part In Ted Owens Invitational

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's cross country team continues the 2010 season this weekend at the Ted Owens Invitational in New Britain, Conn. The invitational is hosted by Central Connecticut State University and the men's race will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Last weekend the Huskies placed second at the UMass Invitational, making it the first time since 2006 that UConn has finished in the top two in each of their first two meets of the season. Connecticut finished with four top-10 runners, the most of any team at the meet.

Ryan McGuire (Orange, Conn.) was the highest finisher for the Huskies, placing sixth with a time of 25:53. McGuire was followed by Nick Aguila (West Hartford, Conn.) who placed seventh in 26:02, while Jordan Magath (Hillsborough, N.J.) and Daniel Francoeur (West Hartford, Conn.) rounded out the top-10, placing ninth (26:09) and tenth (26:10) respectively.
