STORRS, Conn. - The Connecticut men's cross country Associate Head Coach Rich Miller has announced the naming of the 2011 team captains as senior Scott Johnson (Old Lyme, Conn.) and junior Nick Aguila (West Hartford, Conn.).
In the first race of the 2011 campaign, Johnson led the Huskies at the UMass Invitational with a 4th place overall finish and a 22:40.82 time.
Aguila led the Huskies in 2010 throughout his three meets, including a 25th place finish at the New England Championship, running a season-best time of 25:19. He continued his success into this year during his first race taking 5th overall at the UMass Invitational with a time of 22:43.66.
The Huskies continue the season on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the New England Championships.
