STORRS, Conn. -
The UConn Division of Athletics and HYPE (Hartford Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs) held a networking reception on Wednesday night before the men's basketball game. The reception was held in the Werth Family UConn Basketball Champions Center and was an opportunity for current UConn student-athletes to meet with HYPE members in an informal manner.
HYPE is an initiative of the MetroHartford Alliance and helps young professionals better understand and utilize the assets in the capital city area. Its mission is to help make the Hartford Region as an attractive area for diverse young professionals and entrepreneurs to live, work and play.
UConn student-athletes met and talked with HYPE members on Wednesday at the reception and were able to learn about various companies and employment options in the Hartford area as they start to plan their post-college life.
HYPE, which has a large number of UConn graduates among its members, will have a HYPEd on College Hockey event on Friday, Feb. 17 at the men's ice hockey game vs. Northeastern at the XL Center. For more information on that event, CLICK HERE.
