Anyone making an annual contribution of $100 or more for a seat donation, to an endowment, the Husky Annual Scholarship Fund, the Husky Excellence Fund, a favorite Husky intercollegiate athletics team or to support capital projects will automatically become an active donor to the UConn Athletics Development Fund (UCADF), and is entitled to a variety of UCADF annual donor benefits based on the level of contribution.
The greatest benefit of such a philanthropic gift is the satisfaction of providing student-athletes with an opportunity to obtain a quality education and attain a better overall quality of life. Additional benefits may include mailings, emails, invitations to UCADF events and other items according to one's membership category. Click here to see the full list of benefits for 2012-13.
Please note, the fair market value of benefits made available to a donor as a result of the contribution must be deducted from the gift amount to determine the charitable amount eligible for income tax deduction.
Priority Points
The Division of Athletics uses a priority point system in a effort to fairly allocate seats to current UCADF donors. The system is designed to acknowledge both consistent annual giving and current year gifts.
Annual pledges/donations earn three types of priority points: permanent points, bonus points and membership points.
1 Permanent point is earned for every $100 pledged/contributed to UCADF
1 Bonus point is earned for every $100 pledged/contributed to UCADF for a given athletic pledge year. Bonus points are temporary and not awarded on a football seat donation
A donor receives 2 Membership points for each year he/she is a UCADF donor
