Saw action in 34 games and earned 34 starting assignments at the point guard position during her senior year at UConn … Missed the games at Kansas State (12/11) and against No. 12/13 Ohio State (12/19) while experiencing concussion-like symptoms … Averaged 8.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 47.1 percent (96-204) from the field and 40.0 percent (50-125) from beyond the three-point arc … Tied career highs with 20 points and eight assists in UConn’s record-tying 90th-consecutive win against No. 20/21 USF on January 10 … Finished fourth in the country with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.3/1 and put together 15 games with zero turnovers … Scored in double-figures 14 times, including the last three games of her career … Opened the season with a 16-point, six-assists effort in the win over No. 12/12 Florida State on November 14. Chong’s six assists came against zero turnovers and she was a perfect 6-6 from the field … Added 17 points to go along with seven rebounds, seven assists and zero turnovers in the win over Tulsa on February 5 … Averaged 13.5 points per game and shot 62 percent from the field during the Huskies’ NCAA regional semifinal and regional final victories over No. 15/14 UCLA and Oregon en route to being selected to the All-Bridgeport Regional Team.
Saw time in 33 games and earned three starting assignments ... Averaged 3.7 points and shot 42.4 percent from a floor in a year that was hindered by an IT band injury ... Scored in double-figures four times, including a season-high 18 points against Tulsa on January 6. Chong was 6-11 from the floor, including 4-8 from long-range, to go along with four assists and four rebounds against the Golden Hurricane ... That game was preceded by a 13-point, four-rebound effort against Cincinnati on December 30. The Ossining, N.Y. native was a tidy 4-6 from the floor, chased down four rebounds and dished-out three assists against the Bearcats ...
