STORRS, Conn. – The No. 3 Connecticut Huskies (13-1, 1-1 BIG EAST) are on the road for the second consecutive game as they head to Wisconsin to take on conference foe Marquette on Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday’s contest will be televised on SNY and broadcasted live on the UConn Radio Network.
UConn is a perfect 7-0 all-time against Marquette with all but one victory coming by double-digits. Last season, the Huskies defeated the Golden Eagles, 85-45, in a game that saw Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis pour in 27 points and bury five 3-point field goals.
Mosqueda-Lewis is the leading scorer for the Huskies this season with 16.3 points per game, while she is also pulling down 5.1 rebounds and dishing out 2.5 assists per game. In addition to Mosqueda-Lewis, Connecticut has three more Huskies averaging double-digits in Breanna Stewart (14.6 ppg), Stefanie Dolson (12.4 ppg) and Kelly Faris (10.4 ppg).
The Huskies are coming off a 75-48 win at Georgetown where Faris led the team with 15 points, four rebounds, four assists and five steals. Faris is currently leading the nation in assist/turnover ratio at 4.91 after dishing out 54 assists against only 11 turnovers.
