PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the second time this season, junior forward Gabby Williams was deemed the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league Monday.

Williams averaged 15.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 3.0 blocks and 4.0 steals per game in only 23-minutes per contest while shooting 54.5 percent from the field in a 2-0 week for the top-ranked UConn women’s basketball team, which saw the squad win its 90th and 91st consecutive games.
The Sparks, Nev. Native started the week with 11 points, 13 rebounds and was three assists shy of her first career triple-double during UConn’s victory over No. 20/21 USF on Tuesday.
She followed that up with a 19-point, 10-rebound, six-assist, five-steal effort in the win at SMU on Saturday. With the pair of double-doubles, Williams now has five this season and 14 in her career.
