STORRS, Conn.- The UConn women’s basketball squad is set to travel to Syracuse for a 7 p.m. tipoff at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. on Wednesday night.

The No. 3 Huskies (17-2, 6-1 BIG EAST) are riding a five-game win streak entering Wednesday’s contest after a 3-0 week that saw UConn down two ranked opponents with a 86-35 victory over No. 24 North Carolina and a 88-44 win at No. 21 DePaul.

Freshman Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (14.8 ppg, 5.2 rbg) reclaimed her seat at the top of the scoring category for the Huskies with three double-figure performances, including her third 25-point night of the season in the win at DePaul. Her dominance on the floor has earned Mosqueda-Lewis back-to-back BIG EAST Freshman of the Week nods as she now has six on the season.

In addition to Mosqueda-Lewis, senior Tiffany Hayes and sophomore Bria Hartley are both averaging 14.7 points per game, while Hayes is second on the team in rebounding (5.6) and Hartley is second in assists (75).

Syracuse (13-7, 2-4 BIG EAST) has three players averaging double digits with Iasia Hemingway in front with 16.1 points per game, while Kayla Alexander is averaging 15.8 and Carmen Tyson-Thomas averages 11.4 per game.

The game will be televised on CPTV with Bob Picozzi on the play-by-play and Meghan Culmo on the call. Additionally, the contest can be heard on UConn Radio Network.
