STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's basketball team is hitting the road after a three-game home stint as the Huskies head to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats Saturday at 8 p.m. The contest will be televised on SNY with Andrew Catalon, Meg Culmo and Kerith Burke on the call.
The No. 3 Huskies enter Saturday's game with a 17-1 overall record and are 4-1 in league play, while Cincinnati is 8-10 and 0-5 in the BIG EAST.
UConn is 7-0 all-time against the Bearcats, winning those seven games by an average of 26.9 points per game. The last Husky victory came on January 19, 2012 when the Huskies defeated their conference foe 80-37 at home.
Connecticut has four Huskies averaging double-digits with sophomore forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis leading the charge with 17.3 points per game, while freshman Breanna Stewart is scoring 14.8 points and grabbing a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game. Junior center Stefanie Dolson is averaging 13.3 points 6.7 rebounds per game and senior Kelly Faris has been spectacular scoring 10.8 points per game and leading the team in assists (4.5 apg) and steals (3.0 spg).
Saturday's game will also be broadcasted live on the UConn Radio Network with Bob Joyce and Debbie Fiske.
