STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's basketball team will take part in the seventh annual Play 4Kay® initiative. In partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation for Cancer Research, Play 4Kay® is a national fundraising effort in memory of former North Carolina State University head coach Kay Yow, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and battled the disease until 2009.

The Huskies' effort will be highlighted during its showdown with top-ranked Baylor on Monday, February 18 in Hartford.  Fans attending the highly-anticipated matchup will receive a free pink t-shirt courtesy of AAA.

    UConn Fan Challenge
The Huskies have entered UConn fans into a competition with Baylor fans to determine which fan base can raise the most money for cancer research and there are several ways for UConn fans to contribute.

UConn student-athletes will be at the XL Center on February 18 collecting donations from the Husky faithful.  Additionally, UConn fans can text HUSKIES to 85944 to donate $10. A donation can also be made online at www.play4kay.org/uconnhuskies, by clicking on the "Give Now!" button.
