UConn is 2-1 all-time against the Lady Bears, including a 70-50 victory over Baylor in the 2010 NCAA National Semifinal. Most recently, Baylor defeated UConn by a 66-61 count on December 18, 2011 in Waco, Texas. In Baylor's only other visit to the XL Center, then No. 1 UConn defeated the then No. 2 Lady Bears by a slim 65-64 margin on November 16, 2010.
In that meeting, Bria Hartley scored only one point in the game's first 36:04 but scored nine over the next 1:47 to lift the top-ranked Huskies over the No. 2 Lady Bears. Last season, Hartley had a more complete game and led UConn with 25 points on 10-17 shooting en route to burying five of her eight attempts from beyond the 3-point arc. Hartley is 7-13 (.538) from beyond the 3-point arc in her career against Baylor. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored 15 points and was 6-12 from the floor in her debut against Baylor
