STORRS, Conn.- The UConn women’s basketball team travels to South Florida for a noon tip on Saturday with the game being televised on  SNY with Andrew Catalon, Meg Culmo and Kerith Burke. The No. 3 Huskies own a 26-2 overall mark and a 13-2 record in the conference, while the Bulls enter the game 19-8 and 8-6 in the BIG EAST.

Hayes Leads No. 3 UConn Past South Florida, 77-62
Tiffany Hayes scored 33 points and No. 3 Connecticut won its 97th consecutive at home, beating South Florida 77-62 on Saturday. Stefanie Dolson tied a season high with 22 points and added 18 rebounds for UConn (19-2, 8-1 Big East). Hayes, coming off a 35-point performance at Syracuse on Wednesday, had back-to-back 30-point games for the first time in her career.

Connecticut has been perfect against USF boasting an impeccable 11-0 all-time record over the Bulls, including four wins in Tampa.  

The Huskies, 10-0 on the road, are led by Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis who is scoring 17.1 points per game and is second in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage as she is shooting 50 percent from behind the arc. Joining her in the national rankings is Stefanie Dolson who is first in the country with a 59.8 percentage from the field. Dolson is second on the team in scoring (14.0 ppg) and rebounding (6.4 rpg).

Dolson, Mosqueda-Lewis, Kelly Faris and Bria Hartley were each named to the top 30 list for 2013 Naismith Women’s College Player of the Year as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Wednesday. Dolson, Mosqueda-Lewis and Faris were also tabbed to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association’s 2013 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Midseason Watch List on Tuesday. Faris is averaging 10.8 points, 5.3 grabs, a team-high 4.1 assists and a team-best 2.8 steals per game, while Hartley is scoring 9.0 points and dishing out 3.5 assists per contest.
