COLUMBUS – Prior to the team’s first game in the NCAA Women's Basketball Final Four, the UConn women’s basketball had a busy two days in Columbus.

After arriving in the host city on Tuesday, the Huskies had a jam-packed Wednesday. After practicing at Ohio State, the team participated in various shoots for the upcoming weekend, including meeting with ESPN talent and filming segments for ESPN and the NCAA.

On Tuesday night, the Huskies dressed up for the annual Salute Event, held at the Columbus Museum of Art. Along with the other Final Four teams, UConn designed jean jackets, styled an outfit for assistant coach Marisa Moseley and watched a firework display over Columbus.

The team was finally able to take the court at Nationwide Arena on Wednesday after meeting with media.

The Huskies were on hand as Katie Lou Samuelson and Gabby Williams were announced as WBCA All-Americans. Kia Nurse was named the WBCA’s Defensive Player of the Year earlier in the day.

The top-seeded Huskies compete in the national semifinal on Friday at 9 p.m. against No. 1 Notre Dame on ESPN2.
