NEW ORLEANS, La. - UConn women's basketball standouts Stefanie Dolson and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis were selected to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association/State Farm All-America Team as announced by the WBCA on Saturday, April 6. Connecticut has now had 27 all-time selections as Dolson and Mosqueda-Lewis are the 16th and 17th Huskies to be honored on the WBCA All-America squad. This marks the eighth time that UConn has had multiple Huskies named WBCA All-Americans and first time since 2009-10 when Maya Moore and Tina Charles earned the accolade.
Mosqueda-Lewis is only the fifth UConn sophomore to be named to the team along with Svetlana Abrosimova (1998-99), Diana Taurasi (2001-02), Moore (2008-09) and Bria Hartley (2011-12). Moore was also selected to the team during her freshman campaign.
Earlier this week, Dolson and Mosqueda-Lewis were named to the United States Basketball Writers Association All-America Team. They were the 12th and 13th Huskies all-time to earn a spot on the USBWA All-America Team
Mosqueda-Lewis, who was recently honored as a Second Team All-American by the Associated Press, was named to the Bridgeport All-Region Team and the 2012-13 All-BIG EAST First Team after having an outstanding sophomore campaign. Mosqueda-Lewis's has been stellar from behind the arc shooting 48.9 percent from the three which is first in the nation. With 112 made 3-pointers in 2012-13, she is now UConn's all-time single season leader.
Dolson, a 2012-13 All-BIG EAST First Team selection, leads the team at 7.2 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 13.8 points per contest. Dolson is also second on the team with 51 blocks and continues to climb UConn's all-time blocks list as she currently sits at No. 7 with 154 career blocks.
