WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Connecticut men’s and women’s basketball teams will be recognized by President Barack Obama at the White House on Monday in a ceremony set for 4 p.m. The procession can be seen live HERE.
Today’s trip to the White House will be the second one for the UConn women’s team in as many years and the fourth visit since 2009. The Huskies defeated Notre Dame, 79-58, on April 8 to finish their 2013-14 campaign with a perfect 40-0 record. The UConn men’s team downed Kentucky, 60-54, one day earlier to capture its fourth-ever National Championship, as Connecticut improved to 8-1 all-time in Final Four games.
