STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's basketball team will make three appearances as part of ESPN's "Big Monday" package, which was announced by the network today.
The defending NCAA National Champions will make its first appearance on Monday, Jan. 18 when it travels to Durham, N.C., to battle Duke in a 7:00 p.m. (ET) start. It will mark the Huskies first trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium since Feb. 1, 2003 - a 77-65 Connecticut victory.
The Huskies will also be featured when they head to Norman, Okla., to meet Oklahoma on Feb. 15 at 9:00 p.m. (ET).
UConn will make its final "Big Monday" appearance when it faces BIG EAST rival Notre Dame in the regular-season finale for both teams in South Bend, Ind., on March 1 at 7:00 p.m. (ET).
Connecticut is 8-2 all-time in previous appearances on ESPN's "Big Monday" package and has won each of its last four such appearances.
The entire 2009-10 Connecticut women's basketball national, regional and local television schedule will be announced in the near future.
The Huskies open the 2009-10 exhibition season on Thursday, Nov. 5 vs. Saint Rose College at Gampel Pavilion in a 7:30 p.m. (ET) tip.
Connecticut will open the regular season schedule beginning on Saturday, Nov. 14 vs. Northeastern in a 2:00 p.m. (ET) tip at Gampel Pavilion.
