    Former Huskies Maria Conlon and Morgan Valley To Suit Up For EA Sports

    STORRS, Conn. - October 29, 2004
    - Former University of Connecticut women’s basketball players Maria Conlon (Derby, Conn.) and Morgan Valley (Colchester, Vt.) will meet their former teammates as they are slated to play for the EA Sports squad that will meet UConn in its exhibition opener on Friday, Nov. 5 at Gampel Pavilion beginning at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

    Conlon currently ranks as the fifth-leading 3-point shooter in UConn career annals with 170. She also ranks among the program’s all-time best in 3-point field goal percentage at .376 (eighth-best all time). The 5-9 guard was the Huskies starter at point guard for all 35 games during her senior campaign.

    Valley appeared in 29 games as a senior, while making one start. She posted career averages of 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds while providing the Huskies with a physical rebounding and defensive presence off the bench during her tenure. Valley is slated to serve as a volunteer assistant coach for UConn this season while she finishes her degree.

    The Huskies will mark the fifth opponent for the EA Sports Squad, which is scheduled to face South Florida (Nov. 1), Georgia Tech (Nov. 2), Duke (Nov. 3) and North Carolina (Nov. 4) prior to its trip to Storrs.
