UConn Concludes West Coast Swing at Nevada

STORRS, Conn. - The No. 1 University of Connecticut women's basketball team finishes its three-game western swing against Nevada on Tuesday night. The Huskies visit the Wolf Pack on Tuesday, November 28 at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev. The contest is slated to begin at 9:00 p.m. (ET) and will be will be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network.

The teams' three-game road stint is capped with a homecoming game for senior Gabby Williams. Williams is from Sparks, Nev. which is a 10-minute drive from campus. The forward is pacing the squad with 9.0 boards per game while averaging 11.0 points.

Connecticut is currently 5-0 on the season after collecting its 136th consecutive victory against an unranked opponents last weekend as the top-ranked Huskies defeated Michigan State 96-62 at the PK80 Invitational. Azura Stevens recorded on of three UConn double-doubles on her way to eclipsing 1,000 career points.



Nevada owns a 3-2 overall clip after picking up a pair of wins last weekend at the Nugget Classic. Tuesday's contest marks the first meeting between the two programs in the sport of women's basketball.

Following the contest, UConn will head home for a top-10 match up against Notre Dame on Sunday, December 3 at the XL Center in downtown Hartford. The tilt will begin at 4:00 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
