    No. 3 UConn Advances With 77-59 Defeat of No. 11 Penn State
    Bria Hartley and Connecticut ran right past Penn State's high-powered offense and into another regional final. Hartley scored 20 points and Kelly Faris added 15 to help No. 1 seed UConn beat fourth-seeded Penn State 77-59 on Sunday in the Kingston Regional semifinals.

    STORRS, Conn.- The No. 2 UConn women's basketball squad is set to host No. 10 Penn State at Gampel Pavilion on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Huskies, with the quick turnaround after downing No. 9 Maryland 63-48 on Monday at the XL Center, enter the contest with a 7-0 record and the Lady Lions come in owning a 6-1 mark.

    The UConn Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will host their annual Holiday Toy Drive at the women's basketball game on Thursday and the men's basketball game versus Harvard on December 7. The toy drive will benefit local children in need and will be donated to the Salvation Army in Willimantic and the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford.

    Fans are encouraged to bring new toys to the North, South and East Entrances until halftime where they will be collected by the women's lacrosse team at Thursday's game and the women's rowing team at Friday's contest.

    The Huskies and Lady Lions have faced each other 10 times with UConn holding a 7-3 all-time mark over PSU. Connecticut was victorious in the last outing where the Huskies defeated the lady Lions 77-59 in last year's Sweet Sixteen to advance to the Elite Eight.

    Thursday's game will be televised regionally on SNY and broadcasted live on the UConn Radio Network. Tickets are still available and can be purchased for $10.
