STORRS, Conn. – Sophomore guard Crystal Dangerfield garnered her second American Conference Player of the Week award after guiding the top-ranked Huskies to a 103-69 victory at DePaul on Friday night in Chicago, Ill.
The Murfreesboro, Tenn. Native scored 18 points, all coming on a career high-tying six three-point field goals, to go along with nine assists in 31-minutes of action in the win at DePaul on Thursday evening.
Dangerfield was a scintillating 6-7 from beyond the three-point arc and committed only two turnovers against her nine assists. She also chased down three rebounds and recorded one theft against the Blue Demons.
Dangerfield enters UConn’s break for finals ranked second in the league in assists per game (5.6), three-point field goal percentage (.535) and assist-to-turnover ratio (3.2).
The Huskies (8-0) will square-off against Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 19 at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
