CANCUN, Mexico (December 18, 2008) – The University of Connecticut women's basketball team's first game on Thursday vs. Washington at the Caribbean Classic has been moved to a 5:30 p.m. (ET) start.  The game was originally slated for a 4:30 p.m. (ET) tip, but was pushed back an hour.

The reason for the time change is Florida State experienced travel issues and will not arrive until Thursday morning, allowing it more time to prepare for its game after its arrival.

All of the UConn's other games will remain as scheduled.

Each of the Huskies' games at the Caribbean Classic will be broadcast live on the UConn Radio Network and can also be heard via the internet at

Connecticut's final two games at the Caribbean Classic on Friday, December 19 vs. Northern Colorado (7:00 p.m. ET) and Sunday, December 21 vs. Florida State (4:30 p.m. ET) will be televised live on CPTV (Connecticut Public Television).
