2016: Started all 24 games at defense for the Huskies…Scored 18 goals on the season, third-most on the team and third-best in the Big East…Tallied 15 assists, totaling a career-high 51 points…Named Third-Team All-American, All-Mideast Region First Team and All-Big East First Team…Selected to the All-Big East Tournament Team on Nov. 6…Went a perfect 8-for-8 on penalty strokes throughout the season…Three multi-goal games and four multi-assist games…Scored two goals in a 5-1 win over Boston University…Netted the game-winner in overtime on a penalty stroke against Boston College on Oct. 30…Shots on goal percentage of .524.

2015: Started in all 23 games...Tied for second on the team with 43 points...Added a career-best 18 goals and seven assists...Was a perfect 6-6 on penalty stroke attempts…Scored a penalty stroke goal against #2 Syracuse (11/20)…Earned one goal and an assists against Temple (11/8)…Tallied one goal versus #11 Louisville (11/14) and #20 Old Dominion (11/6)...Had two goals and one assist against Georgetown (10/31)...Tallied a hat trick against Boston University (10/18)...Notched one goal and one assist in both shutout victories over Drexel (10/11) and Temple (10/9)...Recorded two assists and a goal in win over Yale (10/4)…Added a goal and assist in 10-0 triumph over Villanova (10/3)…Scored a season-high three goals for six points against Quinnipiac (9/4)…Tallied a goal and assist in shutout versus Northeastern (8/29)…Had a goal against California (9/27) and in the season opener against #10 Northwestern (8/28).

2014: Saw action in all 23 games with nine starts... Tallied a season-high six points in an impressive performance against Georgetown (Oct. 4) contributing three goals to the Huskies 6-0 victory...Also lifted UConn to a 2-1 defeat of Boston University (Oct. 12) with the game-winning goal of the contest... Notched a goal 80 seconds into UConn's NCAA Quarterfinal game against Stanford on Nov. 16... Finished with nine goals and two assists for 20 total points.

High School: Played four years at Perkiomen High School under Jamie Warren... Named Team Captain for the 2013 campaign and scored a team-best 51 goals and registered 17 assists... Named to the PHSFHCA All-State First Team and PAC-10 Conference First Team.... Honored as the Player of the Season by the Pottstown Mercury in 2013... Burst onto the scene in her freshman season, tallying 13 goals and 14 assists... Scored 64 goals and logged 28 assists between 2010 and 2011... Member of the 2012-13 USA Field Hockey Jr. Women's U-19 National Indoor Team under coach Rennie Milne... Also played for the 2014 U-19 National Team under Dhellie Onstead and Jarrid Martin.

Personal: Casey Diana Umstead... Daughter of Todd and Becky... Has two brothers, Bret (27), and Dylan (22).... Played softball for four years in high school, serving as a two-year captain... A biological sciences major.
