STORRS, Conn. –
As the calendar turns to March, the UConn field hockey team prepares to begin its spring schedule – following a fall season where it won its fifth-straight Big East Championship and reached its fourth-straight Final Four.

The Huskies will play an indoor tournament on Saturday at UMass, the only indoor play of the spring. UConn has been practicing indoors to get ready for this tournament and to stay out of the winter weather.

After spring break from March 11-19, UConn will host three scrimmages at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex, leading right up to final exams and the end of the semester.

Head coach Nancy Stevens’ team will face Quinnipiac on March 26 from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The team banquet is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, before a scrimmage with UMass on April 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The final game is slated for April 22 against Boston College – a team that UConn beat in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament – from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
