    Connecticut Field Hockey Players Named To NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad

    STORRS, Conn. (March 1) - Four University of Connecticut field hockey players were recently named to the 2000 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.

    Seniors Amy Herz (Willow Grove, Pa.), Abby Keefe (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) Chrissy Needham (Killingworth, Conn.) and sophomore Colleen Burke (Southbury, Conn.) joined the commendable list of student- athletes honored annually by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

    Herz and Keefe are both physiology-neurobiology majors at UConn, while Needham is working on a master's degree in mathematics, after graduating from the university with a bachelor's degree in education last season. Burke, a midfielder/back, is an allied health major at Connecticut.
