Peijs ripped a shot from the top of the right side of the circle to beat Louisville goalkeeper Marie Claire-Heller, just 57 seconds into the second half, to increase UConn’s advantage to 2-0.

Peijs added her second goal of the game and her team-leading 10th of the season on a penalty stroke at 49:52 to make the score 3-0 in the favor of Connecticut.

Louisville’s Allison Maffitt scored on a feed from Jessica Javelet at 67:05 to allow the Cardinals to avoid becoming UConn’s fourth straight shutout victim.
